Joberg2C and Sani2C

2015 has been a year of firsts for PPfitness, it has been a educational year to date. My goal is to attend as many Sporting events as possible, as PPfitness or privately.

Couple months ago I was asked to work at the Joberg2C event. As this is a huge event on a global scale, I accepted very quickly. As many PPFitness clients are passionate cyclists this would be a foot in the door to provide a service to clients at more events on a bigger scale in the future.

Joberg2C is one for the books. What an incredible event. The organising that goes in to this is impossible to imagine. A logistical nightmare pulled off with ease. Well so the organisers make it seem. I must say well done the JOBERG2C team.

From a recovery point of view, Jober2C was not easy to work. Was plenty fun and a real eye opener to therapists that have possibly not been exposed to so much work. Having 10 or more clients in a day is manageable, but this event is a 10 day stage race. That means constant work. Setting up at new locations everyday quickly becomes a rush. Time management and quality of work needs to be the constant idea. Megan Earl, owner of RestSA, had employed a few of us to take on this task. We would set up privately with The Gear Change team of David and Justin. Megan had put a team together that I believe pulled off this massive task perfectly. Nick Bunger, Kelly Perrera, Megan and I worked our hands to the bone to provide what was most likely the most proffesional private recovery provider to the event.

I would do this again. and again.

Luckily enough the same team were asked to work the at the similar, but so very different, event Sani2C. Again, an event that requires a great and hard working team. With the addition of a few helping hands, Evan, Brigitta and Aunty Gill, this event also went by seemlessly.

Thank you Megan and the rest of the Team. I really enjoyed this month of work, travel and plenty laughter. I look forward to more in the future
